Reporting
Our reporting systems are designed to enable Kid's to showcase what they can do by actually doing it. Kid's get are allowed multiple attempts at most "tests" and we prefer to use yes/no checklists rather than grades.
E.g. Given the rules for Volume of a Pyramid and Pythagoruses Law; has the student student correctly calculated the Volume of a square pyramid given the length of sides? Yes or No? ___ First demonstrated ________ Last demonstrated _________ (show dates)
More simple reports are lists of universal core skills that are ticked off as accomplished. Or lists of accomplishments with listed core skills employed.
We also provide reports of key learning issues such as preferences towards certain learning styles. E.g. a preference towards oral over text based learning that may indicate eyesight problems or strengths in one area causing laziness in another. Also kids who are good at thinking on their feet or have "street smarts" may be less inclined to develop disciplined study skills or take an interest in "book learning".
Our reporting tries to identify such learning preferences and weaknesses and develop a plan to take advantage of natural abilities and minimise weaknessses. |
